Marco Sollazzo develops a distinctive musical language informed by jazz, progressive, Mediterranean traditions, and modal music.
Sketches of Memory is a work for oud, wordless voice, electric guitar, bass/double bass and drums. Drawing on Marco’s journey between different musical cultures and experiences, it explores memory, emotion and shifting states through space, silence, and evolving energy.
The music moves between intimate, spacious passages and moments of intense expression, bringing ancient modal traditions into dialogue with contemporary composition, improvisation and progressive musical forms.
